Ember Hut is small, dark-timbered and warm, built beside a fast brown burn in Scots pine country. The stove takes twenty minutes to change the whole feel of the room.
The bath is the river itself, in a pool dammed with stones. It is genuinely cold, and people keep going back in.

Into the river pool. Count to sixty. Get out grinning.

Whisky-sized measures of nothing much, fire ticking.
